Q&A with Bedilia the Cat: Celebrating “National Answer Your Cat’s Questions Day”

465123830_52b0a6b447_bToday is “National Answer You Cat’s Question Day”! Don’t you just ? all the fun pet holidays out there? We sure do! We enjoy celebrating pet holidays like “If Pets Had Thumbs Day” (March 3), “Bulldogs are Beautiful Day” (April 21), and “National Hug Your Hound Day” (September 13). These entertaining holidays remind us to have fun and laugh with our pets and fellow pet aficionados, and to appreciate our loving furry companions. So without further ado, let’s discuss today’s important holiday – shall we?

Cats don’t verbalize their thoughts or questions in human words, but they certainly make their needs known. Wouldn’t you agree? If you are a cat owner or know someone with a feline friend you’ve most likely heard stories – good and bad. Cats can’t directly ask us pointed questions, no, but it’s probably pretty obvious what they might say if they don’t say it in one way or another already.

Below are a few questions and answers provided by one anonymous 21st Century Animal HealthCare employee. We asked her to sit down with her cat, Badilia, to get to the bottom of her cat’s frequently asked questions. Unfortunately, she was only able to get through five questions. Badilia lost interest and had to take a cat nap. Here’s how it went:

Question #1: Why do you sleep in so late when you should be feeding me at 5 a.m. each morning? Answer #1: I would love to wake up each morning to feed you promptly at 5 a.m., if not earlier, but I really need to get my beauty sleep. Not everyone wakes up looking as lovely and rested as you do, my sweet darling Badilia. I only get those few hours a day to sleep while you get as many as you want.

Question #2: What are you doing at work all day? Don’t you want to sit at home and groom with me? Answer #2: I sure wish I could, but don’t you know all of us humans are just out having fun catching mice, playing lazar lights with friends, and relaxing on a nice comfy and warm couch at work all day? We just want to give you some space and alone time at home. It’s good for you.

Question #3: Why do you go to the bathroom in that big room instead of a box like I do? And why do you always close the door? Answer #3: It’s a long story, darling. Let’s just say it’s a good thing.

Question #4: Would you rather be a cat instead of a human being? Answer #4: Being a cat would be a lot fun – purring, cuddling and meowing all day. Let’s go with being a cat. Yeah, that would be nice.

Question #5: Do you think it’s weird that you don’t have a tail? Answer #5: You know what, Badilia? It is kind of weird. Tails are so cool. You can swing them, chase them and even cuddle up with them. I think us humans got the short end of that tail.

What questions would you like to ask you cat, if you could? What do you think he or she would say? Feel free to share your cat’s Q&A’s with us on our Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/21stCenturyPet/. We’ll be discussing this topic today with our social media friends.

HAPPY NATIONAL ANSWER YOU CAT’S QUESITONS DAY!

And a special thank you to Badilia and her owner for taking the time to answer a few questions for us.
